SUMMARY:Building STEA²M Summer Break Camp 2019
DESCRIPTION:The Building STEA²M Summer Break Camp will be held at New Prospect on Monday\, June 3rd – Friday\, July 26th\, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.  This is for children between the ages of 7 and 13.  The camp will not be active the week of July 1st – 5th.\n\nEach day includes hands-on design challenges that focus on engineering disciplines and STEA²M (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Arts\, Agriculture and Math).  Activities include chess\, yoga\, science project preparation and gardening.\n\nCamp weeks and themes are below. Please note there is no camp 4th of July week. Themes are subject to change.\n\n 	June 3 – June 7 (week 1: Performing Arts)\n 	June 10 – June 14 (week 2: Video Production)\n 	June 17 – June 21 (week 3: Robotics)\n 	June 24 – June 28 (week 4: Coding)\n 	July 8 – July 12 (week 5: 3D Printing)\n 	July 15 – July 19 (week 6: Outdoor Living)\n 	July 22 – July 26 (week 7: Make-It-Take-It)\n\nEach week there will be a field trip.  Actual dates are subject to change.\n\n 	Week 1: Krohn Butterfly Show\, Picnic\, & Ice Cream on June 5th – cost of $3\n 	Week 2: Aquarium\, Ferris Wheel\, Swings and the Merry-Go-Round on June 12th – cost of $32\n 	Week 3: Zoo on June 19th – cost of $10\n 	Week 3: Swimming on June 21st – cost of $2\n 	Week 4: COSI on June 26th – cost of $19\n 	Week 5: Museum Center on July 10th – cost of $5\n 	Week 6: Fishing on July 17th – cost of $20\n 	Week 6: Swimming on July 19th – cost of $2\n 	Week 7: King’s Island on July 24th – cost of $30\n\nA mandatory parent meeting is required before campers can participate.  Parent meetings will be held at the Summit Center from 1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m\, Sundays\, May 26th and June 2nd.\n\nThere will be three showcases to allow students to display and/or discuss their work. The showcases are currently scheduled for Fridays\, June 7th\, June 28th and July 26th\, 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.\n\nThe cost is $125 per week per camper.  Two or more siblings can attend for $100 per week.  Payments can be made at the New Prospect Church office starting Sunday\, May 19th.
